There are some places in Montenegro where nature did not hesitate, where it offered modestly , hiding and provoking the bestowed. Such place is Ćemovsko field. By 70s of the last century it was a barren land, later made fertile with the grapevine Vranac, nowadays real joy for grape pickers, with the gifts of the Mediterranean sun for oenologists and wine lovers.

Over 45 years the most important and only big viticultural-wine making company in Montenegro, ‘13 jul-Plantaže’, seated in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, has developed.

The company ‘13 jul-Plantaže’was founded in 1963,and it deals with production of wine and rtable grapes,peach, production and distribution of wine and grape brandies ,fish growing,catering and retail trade.

The most important segment is surely connected with grapes and wine.Although it is situated in small Montenegro, it owns the largest vineyard in one complex in Europe on over 2310 ha surface covere with over 11 million grapevines. According to the statements of both domestic and foreign experts, every day, it is specific for the high quality of the applied technology.

As the biggest producer of wine and table grapes in Montenegro and surroundings with the annual production of wine grapes about 22 million kilos, we sell about 17 million bottles annually.

13 jul-Plantažeis the market leader in the Balkans region and its products, due to their high and continuously good quality, have been exported to over 30 countries- from the countries of South-Eastern Europe, EU, Russia, China and Australia to Canada and America.

Our most famous product, Vranac wine, represents the trademark by which Montenegro is recognizable. Over 500 awards and prizes both at the domestic and international fairs and exhibitions, competing with the leading wine making countries, confirm the quality of our products. The company performs in accordance with the International quality ISO 9001, ISO 14000 and HACCP, regularly introducing the new products and following world trends in the production and turnover of both standard and barrique wines.

Specificity of the company is the strategy, based on the autochtonous wine grape varieties, Vranac and Krstač. About 60% vineyards is planted with Vranac, and

each year the surfaces planted with this and other varieties, recognized in the world, considerably increase.

The affirmation of focusing on the autochtonous varieties has been given by many research works, emphasizing the role of autochtonous wine grape varieties in actual and future trends on the global wine market.

13 jul-Plantaže has received also other gifts of the Mediterranean sun,land and water. It owns peach plantation covering about 85 ha,the nursery of the grapevine rootstock as well as its own production of the grapevine planting material. The capacity of three wine cellars is 30 million liters in which reigns

the wine of purple,twilight and velvet colour.
