Wine cellar «Šipčanik» was opened by the end of 2007 after the first phase of reconstruction which lasted more than a year where ‘Plantaže’ invested 2 million euros. The whole project includes the environment management as an important segment of the tourist offer called ‘Wine Road’.

The hill Šipčanik is situated on the eastern side of Podgorica,leaning on the complex of vineyards of the Ćemovsko field. There is a splendid view at Lake Skadar and Podgorica from the fortress at the top. The wine cellar is located at the average depth of over 30 meters. It is tunnel shaped 356 m long, 13,5 m average wide and 7 m high. The air temperature is 17-19 C, and humidity 70-80%.

In the wine cellar Šipčanik, covering about 7000 square meters, the curiosity is tending and aging of wine in almost ideal and completely natural,climatic and technological conditions. Two million liters of wine have been aging in the wooden barrels and bottles in almost ideal and completely natural climatic and technological conditions.

Wine cellar „Šipčanik“ is destined for maturing, namely aging of wine in the wooden barrels and bottles. From this wine cellar we enriched the range of our products with two new wines: Chardonnay barrique and Vranac barrique. We also expanded the assortment of our wines with the wines „Crnogorska oka“ and „Premijer“ in order to satisfy the lovers and good wine connoisseurs.

Within the wine cellar there are: vinotheque storing 28.000 bottles of wine,up to 10 years old, tasting hall covering 200 m2 and the specialized shop.

Processing of the wine grapes and the production of wine and brandy has been performed in two wine cellars „Ćemovsko field“ and „Lješko field“, the capacity of which is 310.000 hl.
