Day of Celebration of the Remarkable Jubilee of the Company as the Solemn Academy,Opening of the New Bottling Line and Gala Concert of Goran Bregović
This year, the company 13 jul-Plantaže celebrated a grand Jubilee-55 years of successful work. On this occasion, on the 13th of June, attended by a great number of guests from public and cultural life of Montenegro, in the wine cellar Šipčanik, a solemn academy was held at which the speakers were: Milo Đukanović, President of Montenegro, Verica Maraš, executive director of the company, prof.dr Veselin Vukotić chairman of the Board of Directors and Branislav Mićunović, Ambassador of Montenegro to Serbia.
Milo Đukanović, President of Montenegro, stated that 55 years of Plantaže work represent success by itself.The success was achieved in more than half of the century of extremely turbulent period of the Montenegrin history,making it more impressive. He reminded that Plantaže ,employing full time and part time 1.200 workers, represents one of the greatest Montenegrin exporters as well as the company which sets new standards , linking more with science and research. He said that the company recognized the importance of linking agricultural production with culture and tourism and gave contribution to the development of wine culture. A good image of Montenegrin,autochtonous wines was built as well as increasing number of small, private wineries, the number of which shows, as Đukanović said one of the parameters of living standard in a country. Đukanović pointed out that it is a huge responsibility to build and keep confidence of the buyers in 40 countries of the world and that it is the best indicator of work and success of Plantaže.
The ambiance in which the company operates today contributes certainly to the success of Plantaže. Montenegro represents a stable and safe country with increasing trend of foreign, direct investments, economic liberty and in spite of all difficulties, its economic growth is dynamic. ‘All that you have achieved as the company, commits you to continue with your work, to raise new objectives to higher level and reach them. You should do it for the employed, for the owners among which there is a state , because of the competitors, because of Plantaže future and progress of Montenegro’, Đukanović said at the solemn reception.
“ The whole world is our market, we are proud of 55 gold years “ , said the executive director of the company Verica Maraš.She pointed out that Plantaže has the first ranked product for decades in the country. We permanently realize the profit that was 30 million euros last year and for the last 10 years, it was 180 million euros. The country realized the sufficite of 140 million euros, said Maraš. Talking about the development of the company, Maraš pointed out that over 13 million euros was invested in the primary production, 19 million euros in the processing capacities, 8 million euros in civil engineering. “ Plantaže is the company open for new knowledge, new technologies and new markets. Today, Plantaže is a world gigant “ , Maraš pointed out.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, prof.dr Veselin Vukotić, reminded on this occasion that Plantaže was founded as the expression of courageous vision of its founders and such a vision is needed today, as well. As Vukotić said, “ Plantaže is an extraordinary company, organization, ambiance, because it has been at the top for a long time and among the best, not only in Montenegro, but also wider. Owning the capital of nearly 100 million euros, Plantaže has been nowadays a sound, productive, creative company which invests in the development and its vision, competing at the international market “ , Vukotić pointed out. “ Plantaže is a remarkable printing house of euros in Montenegro“ , said Vukotić.
Branislav Mićunović, the Ambassador of Montenegro to Serbia said that Plantaže is an international brand. “ You discovered 63 varieties, unknown for the viticultural branch. Preserving 1.000 years tradition, you grow the autochtonous grape varieties Vranac and Krstač. A good wine tells a lot about this home land and terroir, as well. A variety is the mother of vine, soil is the father and climate is destiny “ , Mićunović said.
Upon the speech, the invited guests had the opportunity to enjoy a various music program, performed by: Guitar Duo Nikcević & Bulatović, soprano singer Aleksandra Vojvodić Jovović and ethno music band Zora.A particular wine Vranac Barrique Jubilee which is one of the greatest wines of the company, as the guests said, was served with rich, traditional feast food.
A great introduction to the Solemn Academy on the occasion of the important jubilee of the company was starting up of the new bottling line, valued at 3 million euros. Duško Marković, the Prime minister of Montenegro, put the new line, the capacity 10.000 bottles per hour into operation solemnly, located in the cellar Ćemovsko polje.
On this occasion, Marković stated that the investments in the production and real economy should provide dynamic and sustainable growth of our economy which recorded last year one of the highest growth rates in Europe. Marković pointed out that the Government will be particularly focused on tourism, energetic, production of food and drinks, fields in which Montenegro has comparative advantages. “ The wines of the standardized quality, produced in our vineyards and cellars may be found at the tables in over 40 countries of the world. Our wines have their history and story “ , Marković pointed out on this occasion.
Jubilee to be remembered has been celebrated at the music spectacle to be always on mind! The concert of Goran Bregović for the violin and symphony orchestra was held in the heart of the vineyard at Ćemovsko polje. In an unreal ambiance of the immense green plantations, on the impressive stage above the grapevines, with various light and led screen effects, Bregović presented his latest music project “ Three Letters from Sarajevo “ . Over 70 world music performers performed the compositions before 3.500 visitors, inspired by three religions: Christianity, Islam and Judaism. The concert was opened by “ Jewish Letter “ and performance of a young violinist Bojana Jovanović. The compositions “ Mazel Tov “ and
“ Made in Bosnia “ which intrigued the audience from the very beginning were performed within that letter. “ Moslem Letter “ was opened by the violinist Zied Zouari from Tunisia and the guests followed the compositions
“SOS“ and “ Vino tinto “ by ovations. After the “ Christian letter “, followed by the violinist Mirjana Nešković, there were performed the compositions:
“Pero “, “Duj,duj“ and “Baila Leyla“ led by the magnificent conductor Ognjen Radivojević.On this occasion, Bregović played his hits: “ Bella ciao “ ,

After two hours’ concert Bregović stated that the vineyard on Ćemovsko polje was a phenomenal ambiance for ‘Three Letters from Sarajevo’, his orchestra utopia of the fusion of differences that may become a reality one day. Director of Sales and Marketing of the company Veselin Đurišić, closing the spectacle said that the celebration of Plantaže Jubilee was made greater by the concert of one of the most renowned composers of today, Goran Bregović.
