Vranac is an ancient, Montenegrin variety and its real origin was hidden deeply in the depths of history. It originates from the narrow area of Crmnica and now it is certain that it is in a very close kinship with the variety Kratošija. It had been grown since the 14thcentury in the Skadar Lake Valley. It is our viticultural and national pride and accordingly, it covers even 70% of our vineyards on Ćemovsko polje. The colour of the wine is intense red ruby. On nose, distinct aromas of small, berry fruit, blackberry and blueberry with discreet, dry spices. On palate, the wine is very fruity with prevailing aroma of blackberry with balanced acids and moderate tannin structure. The aftertaste is intense of fruity-spicy character.

Technical information
Harvest
Despite extremely high temperatures and drought, the harvest 2017 was of extraordinary quality, not only for the production of the red wines, but also for the whites. The grapes were in the excellent health condition. The harvest was done exclusively by night (because of low temperatures), for preserving the full aromatic potential of the grapes.
